weird thirst condition - General Health Message Board

I have this weird condition where whenever I take a short nap or fall asleep in the subway, during lectures etc....just whenever i dooze off for a short period of time, i wake up feeling extremely thirsty and my mouth gets really dry

this happens even when i drank water b4 i fall asleep

anyone know whats going on

this happens to me too but its because i tend to sleep with my mouth open as i cannot breathe really well thru my nose anymore due to nerve damage.does the thirst thing happen only after you sleep or are you constantly feeling a bit thirsty than average during the day too?are you drinking enough water during the day to stay well hydrated?iof not,this can also aggrevate the problem.FB

i drink a fair amount of water through out the day and i don't sleep with my mouth open

How do you know? Are you awake while you're sleeping so you can see whether or not you sleep with your mouth open?

There's nothing wrong with you. You sleep with your mouth open. That's it. No big mystery there. Geez, I wish ALL questions here were this easy, it would make my answers a lot easier to explain.
