Visable Blue Veins - In a Panic

Can you please help me?? I am 32 years old - not pregnant. I have very blue visable flat veins all over my chest and arms. I have always been self conscious of this, but it seems to be getting worse. I am in a panic tonight because my husband noticed them for the first time and I am worried they are suddenly even more worse. I have check ups all the time and have had extensive heart tests due to having tachycardia (for which I take a beta blocker). All tests are great. Is it just me being fair skinned or could this be something serious???

Heather

Do you have any other symptoms or signs? Fatgue? Do you drink alcohol?
Sometimes, spider veins on the torso and arms can be signs of liver problems.
Any itching?

Re: Visable Blue Veins - In a Panic

Nope, no other sx. I feel normal. Always tired but that is because of the beta blockers, my anxiety med and running after a 2 year old all day. No itching. I drink no alcohol whatsoever or do any drugs. Not even caffeine.

Also these veins are the big blue flat kind. They arent purple or swirly. just straight basically.

Smile Re: Visable Blue Veins - In a Panic

I also noticed the same thing with me.. suddenly my veins became so visible thats sometimes I am afraid that I might ***** them and I would bleed to death. I am even scared to press them, thinking the blood wont be able to pass through. Mine is most visible in my arms mostly in my wrist area.. I asked my doctor but my he said its just due to the hot weather.. making the blood flow more. I have GERD and have not been feeling well for months and that intensifies my fear. but the doc assured me its nothing to worry about. I hope all goes well for us.

Re: Visable Blue Veins - In a Panic

I noticed the same problem a few days ago and I'm pretty concerned. I'm a 23 year old male, I drink a ton of sodas w/ caffeine and also recently started consuming about 2 energy drinks a day(starting about 2 weeks ago). I also drink a heavy amount of alcohol about 3 times a week. I'm about 6-1 195. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I'm going to stop drinking anything with caffeine effective immediately.
