Dizziness.....Equilibrium off balance

Hey all,

Just a shot in the dark but as anyone ever experienced a unusual spell of dizziness that lasts anywhere from 24-72 hours?

I ask this because twice during the last two years when I woke up in the morning and got out of bed I almost fell back over and the spell continued on throughout the day and the next. It was almost a feeling of nausea. Both times I was going to go to the doc. but then as quick as it came, it went so I never ended up going. It hasn't happen for a while but I figured as long as I was on here surfing around I would ask.

I am not allergic to anything to my knowledge and my diet hadnt changed at all during those times. I thought my blood sugar might have been low but the perks of being a medic I was able to check it and read a.o.k.

Anyone have any suggestions? Should I be concerned?

Thanks.

Re: Dizziness.....Equilibrium off balance

My husband had a similar problem and he found out that it was a inner ear virus. He was given an Prescription for Antivert for the dizziness and was ok adter a few days.(The medicine worked very quickly and in a hour the dizziness was gone.)
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your insight! I just have never felt like that before and thought it might be something serious then, all of the sudden it passed. Another one of the human body mysteries I guess? Thanks for the feedback!
