Stinky feet is making my life hell

I suffer from smelly feet and dont know how to get rid of it. I change my socks often and use feet deodarants , but nothing seems to work . I have been teased at work by my manager because of it and its making me so paranoid. Any advice?

Have you tried over the counter athletes foot medication? You can also try a few other things. Garlic supplements, lavendar oil, or myrrh. To make a myrrh foot bath mix 1 tablespoon of extract in 1 quart of warm water. Soak your feet 10 to 15 minutes once a day. If you want to try lavendar then rub lavendar essential oil on your feet once a day. Go to a health shop to find either of these products. Hope that helps.

Try taking calcium/magnesium/vitamin D pills. They usually come in that combination. Calcium is known to reduce body odor.

Re: Stinky feet is making my life hell

What kind of shoes do you wear, especially that someone could smell your feet at work? Or is it because your shoes are off? You have to alternate shoes; not wear the same ones every day in a row as well. They HAVE to air out. Put baking soda in them at night while they are off. Sneakers of course, are notorious for trapping odor. 100% Cotton socks are a no-no, they hold moisture. Synthetic are what to look for.

You might also try taking chlorophyll tablets, they are a natural deodorizer. Also, if possible try to go barefoot, or at least in your socks only at home. Let your feet "breathe"

DON"T try the garlic supplements!

Re: Stinky feet is making my life hell

I made my hubby see a foot Dr... I could not take it anymore. He was diagnosed with not a fungus but bacteria something or other Pit something. But the Dr gave him a cream to use for 1 month and gone...never to return.

Talk to your Dr it is more common than you think!!! My husband had this problems for years and now we can all breath!!!!

He is sooo happy now get to the Dr!!!

Why not garlic supplements? Garlic is good for killing fungus.

Because with a odor problem, something like garlic at this point could add to the problem simply because of the smell possibility coming through the skin. Not worth the risk. There are lots of other supplements that do the same thing. Besides, if it is a fungus responsible, it would be on the outside of his feet anyway.

Re: Stinky feet is making my life hell

Do not wear the same pair of shoes every day. Shoes need to dry out. Always wear clean socks, never wear more than one day.

My husband and I spray inside of shoes with Lysol Spray at night and let air dry. We alternate shoes. Right now I am alternating between 2 pair.

My brother lived with us for a few years and wore boots. Much to my horror I could hardly stand to walk into his bedroom due to the smell of his boots. One day when he was not home I sprayed inside of the boots with Lysol Spray and it stopped the odor. I repeated spraying with Lysol Spray every time I had a chance.

For a while I used baking soda in my shoes, but the soda caused my feet to become too dry. The Lysol Spray has had no ill effects on our feet and we have been using the spray for a few years. Do not spray feet, not sure what that might cause.

You might try over the counter fungus creams. Lamisil is suppose to be a good one.

I wear boots which are zipped , but despite this , i have been told by my boss that i have smelly feet .
I also wear trousers which is sensitive to picking up smells, from time to time i get a wipe of feet also . I always go barefeet when im at home , so my feet can breath..
I havent tried baking soda.. can i just pop it into my boots overnight?

Thanks everyone for taking the time and trouble to address my problem

Re: Stinky feet is making my life hell

Yes, you can sprinkle baking soda into the boots. However, Lysol Spray works the best.
