Help! I'm always cold. I take multi-vitamins and extra calcium. I drink a lot of coffee during the day - I call it my portable heater. Any way to ditch the chills?

Speak with your doctor. It sounds like you have a low body temperature.

Hi Maria. It could be thyroid related. I suggest having your thyroid tested (blood tests). Ask that they include the Free T3, Free T4 (besides the T3, T4) and thyroid antibody tests. They are not usually done but are necessary for a comprehensive view.

If you need help interpreting your results, the people on the thyroid board at this site can help.

I guess I should have mentioned thyroid. I have hypothyroidism and take meds. Maybe my dose is too low.
