Since yesterday I have had occasional pains in my upper left arm, inner area. I don't remember hurting myself so I don't know what it could be. It's not constant, it comes in sharp sudden twinges. Any ideas?
I have pains all the time on my left side. In my head, neck, shoulder, arm, under arm, behind the arm in the back by the ribs. Down my side into my hip, down my leg to my calf and into my ankle.
Now the first couple of times I felt the pain I thought I was having a heart attack. I use to get panic attacks to so it was a bit had to tell which was a true panic attack and which was just that annoying pain in my arm. After a few panic attacks I was able to tell which was which.
Did the whole EKG and EEG when I was brought into the ER thinking I was dying. My heart was fine. After about 7 years of pains on my left side and in my chest I learned that my hips were out of place and my pinching a nerve. It still acts up and hurts time to time. Like today it hurts my neck, butt hamstring and ankle all on the left side.. I did a landscaping job yesterday and I felt it to start to tighten up half way through the job.
Please go look at my post 21 jan 07 in general health. This is very similiar to what i suffer from, so u may get some ideas from my post.
I really thought mine was hormonal and still do in a way, but this month i have had the pains again and this time it was after my period as opposed to leading up to it, i really am baffled as to what it is, but the pain on my last few episodes has been really bad, it immobilises me for a few seconds, and before i was getting the sharp pain once or twice in an episode, now its every few mins throughtout the day. At present im monitoring it, dates times of mth etc, then im off back to the GP to see what else he suggests.
I went to the ER for a rash/hives I had not too long ago and I had also been experiencing the left inner arm pain going down the inside of my arm. The er dr told me that it's nothing to worry about because it's just chest wall pain, and my EKG came back normal. Mine might be different because I get it in between my shoulder blades, left shoulder, inner left arm, and down my inner left arm. Good luck, and if this continues on I suggest you go back to your dr for further testing.
