Mole Removed 1 yr ago is itchy

I had a mole removed from my shoulder blade over a year ago. In the last couple of weeks the spot where it used to be itches. It feels like a new cut. There is no redness nor any bumps but the itching is driving me insane. What is it and should I be worried?

Please I need some kind of an answer. This itch is really driving me nuts. It's there especially on the morning but does not go away all day.
