Bump - General Health Message Board

I noticed in my right hand on the space between my pointer finger and thumb is a bump, maybe not so much a bump but it feels like the muscle is swollen or enlarged. It's definatly harder than the same spot in my other hand. Could this just be because I'm right handed and I use it more? It doesn't really hurt, although it's has been sore a few times. I just noticed it though a few months ago and it's still there. So, is this normal? Thanks

There is a bone in that area, called the sesmoid bone. Perhaps that is what you are feeling and/or is sore. Could be a muscle too. Try not using your had for a day or so and put some ice on it. See if that makes it feel better.
