Grey around mouth???

I searched online but found no info. maybe someone can help me...my son is 9 1/2 years old, when he smiles there is a noticeable grey color around his mouth, i am very curious as to what it is?? His teeth are pretty yellow too, and maybe this has something to do with it, but anyhow if anyone has any info as to what this is or how i can fix it for him please let me know!! Thanks so much!!

Re: Grey around mouth???

I really don't have any info for you, but suggest you discuss it with his pediatritian. It could be something, it could be nothing. Problem is, you won't know unless it's checked out.

Please keep us posted.

Re: Grey around mouth???

is this an actual deep skin color or more surface like, like a staining would be?if it looks more into his skin it could be a sign of a circulation problem going on.this could be some level of cyanosis.does it ever look more bluish.or does it always look like the same grey color?what color are his nail beds on his fingers?do they look normal?FB

Re: Grey around mouth???

Thank u both for your replies. i would say its more of a deep skin color.......my husband thinks it could be because his skin is stretched and so thin right there, hence the reason it shows only when he smiles hard.....i will have to check his nails when he gets home, and talk with his peditrican next time we see him. Thanks again for reading my posts and offering your advice.
