My Waistline & What To Eat

I'm 5'6 and weigh around 120...give or take. I could be 118, 122...but nothing above that.

I am not anorexic...I just cannot stufff myself with food. I eat enough and never more than what I can handle. I've been complemented on my body, but some (like my mother) think I'm too skinny and are down my back...I just turned 30 y.o.

I've noticed that I have a little belly. When I wear a tight shirt, I could pass for someone who's just found out she's 10 weeks pregnant or something!! I don't know why, but it seems all my fat builds up there?

In the morning, my stomach is not as rounded out, but during the day it pops out and starts "showing" if you will.

Why is the fat staying only in my belly? I do not have hips, I'm a size 2, but my belly popping out like that sort of embarrasses me. Is it just that I'm 30 now and it is getting harder to keep a flat stomach? Any advice?

Hi, I am very similar in height and weight as you, except I am 42... I also have "the belly" and it also gets bigger as the day wears on....I think it does have something to do with age (I got it after 35), but I also find that if I lose weight and go down to 115 lbs, the belly goes away and I look super thin, which is nice!!! But, then I really have to eat very little and it is difficult to maintain (and it is too low of a weight..). I suggest doing some sit ups and see if that helps...I try and do 60/day and exercise for about 1/2 an hour. I think that after a certain age (and it's different for everyone), you need to exercise to look the way you feel most comfortable being...anyways, it boils down to how you feel, not so much how you look in the end.....hope this helps.....(by the way, my husband says "the belly" is cute!!!!, so you never know....) take care
