Knee feels weird..like it gets sudden pulls

I've had a history of knee sprains.. some real bad tha tlasted long to heal.

Ok but i've been ok for the past couple of months and now suddenly i did nothing but alittle bit of jumping jacks.. rested than as i try to get up i feel like my knee gets a feeling of something inside being pulled. like a ligament gets streched.

Is it just old age with me? i'm 27 and on and off i have arthritis but i didn't have these little sprainy muscle pulls before. I guess since the whole knee is unbalanced , more stuff begins to get bad, right?
