Ankle Clicking

Hi, I've put this in this section because its not really relevent elsewhere.

Could somebody help me please the last couple of days my left ankle has been 'clicking' everytime i move it up, down or to the side. There isn't any pain as such just a discomfort if I repeatedly do this and although it sound silly I feel alot of heat from it.
I haven't done anything to strain it like running or anything although I did trip down some stairs last week but the problem wasn't obvious until quite a few days afterwards.

If it helps i'm otherwise healthy and am only in my twenties.

Is this worth going to the GP for? or will it eventually sort out?
thanks

Re: Ankle Clicking

Same thing happens to me with my right foot EVERY time I walk. No pain, just a cracking noise.
I haven't ever been alarmed by it, I just think it's similar to cracking your knuckles (but I could be wrong). It's been happening to me my whole life (I'm 20) and I've never thought a thing of it. (Happened last week when I went to the doctor for another problem I had and he asked me what that sound was, but wasn't worried about it.)
I'm definitely not trying to minimize your "problem". If you're concerned, definitely have it checked out.
