Abdominal twitching

I happened to notice when I was laying on my couch and shirtless my stomack twitched. I dont at all feel any pulsating sensation whatsoever from the twitching but it is noticable when sitting or laying. It isnt very noticable unless youre looking for it and Ive looked it mirrors it isnt noticable enough to appear in them. I wouldnt have even known other wise had I not happened to see it but I still am just a little curious as to what it may be. Also, the twitching is very rythmic, kind of like the a heart beat. Could be normal and I just never noticed it before. Anyone who has any idea whatsoever about what could be causing it, your responses are appreciated.

Re: Abdominal twitching

You say it's rhythmic- it probably is your heart beat. My stomach does the same thing- I notice it when lying on my back, and I know it's just the beat of the blood being pumped through my arteries.

Re: Abdominal twitching

It happens to everyone but dont worry I was alarmed when I first noticed it too. It goes with your heartbeat. If you cant feel it and its hardly noticable it is not a problem. You may have a problem when you have a continuous pulsating sensation with every heartbeat coming from your stomach for extended periods of time. Hope this helps.
