| Strange symptoms - need a doctor?
For the past week, I've been coughing, and have a sore throat in the morning. What is strange is that I've been having these tired, feverish spells throughout the day. I feel pretty good, then bam, I'm really tired and feel like I have a fever. Sometimes I get a sore throat with these spells, too. Then, I'll rest for a bit, and my energy levels will return to normal. My cough also kind of comes and goes, but it's bad this morning for some reason. I haven't needed to take cough medicine, but may take some this morning. On the bottle it says if you have a cough for more than a week, call the doctor. It's been exactly one week. I wouldn't consider going to the doctor for this, but my mom has a sinus infection and it wouldn't go away without antibiotics. I'm not sure that's what I have though, because she is all stopped up, and I'm not. I get a runny nose occasionally, but no stuffiness. She's also dizzy and has vertigo. I would think if I had a sinus infection, I'd be having those symptoms. What I don't get is this coming and going like it is - though, this morning I've felt crappy so far and it doesn't seem like it's going to go away soon. What do you think? Maybe I should give it a couple more days?
