Pounding Heart beat

I have noticed lately I sometimes experience a pounding heartbeat. It isn't really palpitations and the heart doesn't beat fast either. I measure my pulse frequently- and it always whether I feel my chest pounding or not it ranges from 60-65 beats pretty much every time in my rested state. It ranges from 75-90 during/immediatly following exercise. So obviously, my heart rate is not abnormally fast but it is just pounding sometimes. Anyone happen to know why/what it could be? Thanks, responses are appreciated.
