DIZZY DIZZY DIZZY cant stand it ..HELP ME - General Health Message Board

Hey yall...hope every 1z all right considering the heat vancouver b.c. is real hot.The hot weather that i love so much has been making the constant dizzy and neasua spells alot more frequent i must say ...it has not been plesant by any means ...I went to my physician, whom i have had great difficulties with in the recent past and he prsecribed me ....Novo Betahistine ...also known as Cerc ...i believe....correct me if im wrong ....please ....Gravol wasnt doin a thing so i had to get a prescription the episodes that i experience are terrifying some times it starts with the dizzy spell that some to last for ever The surface that i am standing on seems to be tipping or falling or slanted ...things dont feel right and become disoriented and my vision becomes very blurry itbecomes very very hard to focus and i get sick to my stomach and get constant almost non stop high pitch ringing or a dull low buzzing in my right ear to top it of i also get migraines with super tightness and tingiling in the right side of my face and sharp throbbing pain in and behind my eye ....the only time i dont deal with all the annoyances is when i am asleep ....My physician has set up an appointment for me at an audiology clinic near the end of June ...cant wait ....a little bit nervous though ....ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRCIETED THANKS ALOT ...in advance

forgot to mention that after the dizzy spell i get very sleepy feel drained and weak so i usually goto sleep

I dont really know what to suggest

Did this problem happen when you go out in public as one of my relitives has the same problem all the symptoms you have when she goes out in public

I dont really know but i hope that the appointment goes okay for you

Sounds to me like a inner ear disorder or migraine's. Go to the inner ear board at healthboards.com you will find a lot of information there, what you are explaining is vertigo. I am a vertigo suffer as well for years. Still don't know if mine is headache related, TMJD related or inner ear. Best of Luck. I know how scary it can be.

KATIE9421...... i am sorry to hear that your reltive is goin through kinda what i am goin through ..though the episodes that i experience do happen when i am out side in the hot air and the bright sun...not only does it happen out side ...i also get them when i am at home doing everyday things from chores such as washing dishes ....1 week ago almost fell backwards from the top of my stair case 14 stairs to be exact ....i dont know what stopped me from crashing down and breaking my scrawny neck ....musta been some angels or sumptin ...lesson learnt....i dont well try hard to not over excert myself ...though i also get the episodes from doin nuthin chillin out watchin tv and i lean forward or move my head left or right and i get violent dizzy spells ....bottom line...it doesnt just happen when im outside it happens any time any place Sorry to type so darn much .....hope that helps

BOXERLOVER227 I have for many years suffered from excruciation migrains over many years and over a year ago i was diagnosed with tmj now im
sure every body will oh well thats why i keep getting the dizzy episodes i beg to differ ....back in janaury 2007 i was a pedestrian hit by a car i was slamed to the ground ...and ever since that night i have had nothing but problems with my right ear and constant dizziness and neausa that was the icing on the cake for me with a cherry on top

so you have suffered from Vertigo for years ....thats what i have to look forward to if the case is that i do get diagnosed with Vertigo ...basically it can not be cured ...but can it be controlled .... my doc put me on betahistine 16 mg and i still feel the same if not worse
