| White dot on tonsil every now & then
I occasionally get a sore spot in the back of my mouth/throat, on one side. It’s like, when I open my mouth, I can see on one side (I’m 90% sure it’s on a tonsil) a white dot like a pimple almost. A raised, white head type pimple dot.
For some reason it’s usually on the right side, and usually it’d come for no real reason. Sometimes I’d wonder if I may have burnt it on food or something and it was a reaction, but the last time it appeared (on the right side again), it was a single white dot, and it was moderately sore for 2 days before it vanished, and then I got a cold. This was about 5 weeks ago.
Now, for the past 1-2 days I’ve noticed another one, again on the right side. It’s again not overly sore, but just noticeable and I’m more concerned than actually troubled by it now. I don’t want to get another cold. Could it be some warning sign or something or an impending cold? Like, my tonsils are trying to fight off an infection (eg., cold) but then fail and I get sick? Or maybe in the past, when the dot appeared and then vanished and I didn’t get a cold, it was my immune system/tonsils successfully beating the impending cold?
Any advice here? Thanks!
