CAT Scan Radiation

Could the radiation from a CAT scan cause your skin to become darker? Would this effect be permanent?

Re: CAT Scan Radiation

i would find this very highly doubtful unless you had some really unbelievable sensitivity to radiation.i have had many CTs,angiograms and x rays over just the past five years alone all using high doses of radiation and never ever had any actual side effects from any of them,at least none that i can see anyways, who knows what will pop up later on ya know?i just really can't see actual skin color changes occuring from a CT,unless like i said, you are a very sensitive type of person.you may want to bring this skin color change to the attention of your doc.i really don't think it could realistically be from a CT you had done.what was the CT done for?FB
