| Different advice from doctors.
My brother had shortness of breath 4 months ago,he was diagnosed with fluid on the lungs. His doctor prescribed fluid and dilatrend tablets..He also had a heart bypass 15 years ago, which has been going good..He takes blood pressure pills...Five weeks ago he started to have shortness of breath again, and collapsed unconscious after an exertion, and was admitted in to hospital.
Doctors had scans of lung, brain, heart and carotid artery done.
They diagnosed a lung complaint to be followed up with another scan of the lungs in 2 weeks time. They put my brother on warfarin as well..
They also told my brother not to take dilatrend tablets any more, because it was not the right drug for him, because it slowed down his heart rate too much and thats why he fainted..
Any way now he has been out of hospital for 4 weeks, and his GP, has just put him back on to the dilatrend tablets, which is what the hospital doctors told him not to take anymore..
My brother is single, 65 this year, and is still working. His memory seems worse since his collapse also. From Yours Sincerely bess01.
