First I want to say I'm new to this board and glad I came upon it by "******". So, here's my situation: I can feel a little "bulge" on the lower left side of my stomach. I can especially feel it when I have to go to the bathroom or if it is my time of the month, that's where I feel the cramps the most. I've had it for almost a year now. So just wondering has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas as to what it could be? Thanks!

is it painful? when touched?

I'm a guy so I can only relate what my wife and daughters tell me but it sounds like you may be feeling your ovary. If it is painful at all, I would suggest getting into your gyno to check it out. One of my daughters had a cyst on her ovary and it ruptured which was extremely painful. It would have been better if she had treatment before the rupture.

It could be an ovarian cyst, then again it could be a hernia... the best thing to to is see your PC and have it checked out. You will probably end up having an ultrasound done on the area and maybe a CT to determine what it is.

Thanks. To answer your question: it is not soooo painful that I am lying in agony when it it touched. It seems it just reminds me either to go to the bathroom (then it's better) or my menstrual cycle is coming. But I will certainly go to see a doctor. Thank you again.

One more question, IF it is an Ovarian Cyst, how are these usually removed? Thanks.

If it is an ovarian cyst, they will probably check for any hormonal imbalance and if they decide to remove it they will probably d it laproscopically.
