weird "ticks" (not the bugs)

I have some very random annoying little "ticks", or somewhat voluntary muscle spasms, if you will. they include the incessant popping of my jaw (my TMJD is another issue) sometimes consciously, sometimes not, and doing weird things like always having to strain my eyeballs as far right as they can possibly go for just a second (i have VERY dry eyes and NOTHING helps). i try my hardest to constantly fight these urges but its a losing battle. what kinds of things can i work on to help this problem? i am wearing out my jaw and i give myself needless headaches from my jaws and eyes.

Re: weird "ticks" (not the bugs)

sounds like mild tourettes syndrome. Have you checked this out? Look for some information on the web. I am not sure how old you are but it usually begins in adolescence and sometimes continues into adulthood. Some people have these tics due to stress or stress causes them to increase. If they are extremely bothersome there are meds to help control them. Do you have any other symptoms like, repetetively blinking eyes, wrinkling nose, grimacing or continually clearing throat or grunting? My son has some of these that come and go (he's 6).
