Glands Question

Hello. I just have a quick question that I was hoping someone could answer for me. Approx. 2 years ago I had several blood tests and a biopsy done on some swollen glands under my jaw. All tests came back saying there was nothing wrong. Is it therefore safe to say that there would still be nothing wrong? as the glands never disappeared, the doctor did say that that wasn't exactly unusual. I also have one under my arm, if the others weren't anything to worry about, do you think that this one would be (I noticed it after my tests etc.)?

Thanks.

Re: Glands Question

After two years, it would not be a bad idea, given your history, to go and have all your lymph glands checked out again. Not to say that there is anything to worry about, but clearly they have been of concern in the past. If it were me, I would have them checked every 2-3 years. Sera

Re: Glands Question

It's highly unlikely that there is anything wrong now, but I agree with Seraph that it is worth seeing a doctor again.

Re: Glands Question

I agree. A quick trip to your general practioner should ease your mind. It's most likely nothing - but it feels awesome to confirm that so you can stop worrying.

Re: Glands Question

Mark18,

After 2 years without any other symptoms I would say that you are safe. BUT, for ease of mind you could go back to the doctor. If it were lymphoma you would have had other symptoms by now.
