A good friend of mine that is staying with me is having a lot of issues that I just cant seem to put my finger on.
She is covered up in a sweatshirt and a huge comforter and she is shaking really bad and she says her hands wont get any warmer. She also says that she is having some pretty bad back pains and her shaking isnt making that part any better.
She is also saying that sometimes it is hard for her to catch her breath, it seems like she is about to hyperventilate.
Earlier today while I was at work, she said that she got so cold and chills that she threw up.
You might want to consider taking your friend's temperature, and also taking her to the hospital. It doesn't sound like a regular old sickness. Back pain and chills can be caused by a number of things including kidney problems.
It sounds to me like a pretty nasty infection... UTI (urinary tract infection) or kidney but it also could be PID (pelvic inflamitory disease). If it is her time of the month and she is using tampons it could be Toxic Shock Syndrome.
This all said, get her to the ER... now.
