Whoa. Little scared now. Just did a "number two" and uh...
So I went on an insane bike ride today. I haven't ridden in a while, but today I kinda pushed myself really hard. I stayed in 21st gear (pretty hard) and went uphill most of the ride. I came back from the ride and my legs felt like they had grew 9 sizes. My heart was racing. I relaxed for about 45 minutes then I went and got a cold shower.
About 2 hours have passed and I just made some pizza for my brothers. I ate 1 piece and felt incredibly full. I was like what in the world? I figured the workout from today kind of turned off my appetite, so I put the pizza aside. Then I had the urge to throw up, so I went to the bathroom. After standing there for a minute I realized I better "have a seat" cause I felt the need to throw up was subsiding and the need to [you know] was coming on.
So I sat down for a minute, did my thing, felt a little better. I stood up and the toilet had blood in it. Not like a few drops, but not like 3 gallons either, but there was more in there than I expected.
Is it possible I just worked myself too hard? Where in the world could the blood have come from? I suppose I should watch that from now on and start lower, then work myself up... *shrugs*
For the record, I'm feeling a bit better now, but I'm just shaken up that I had rectal bleeding... I'm a 21 year old male by the way, pretty darn healthy, about 185lbs. Just to give you an idea of my build/age/etc.

Hemorrhoids are usually caused by sitting a lot, pregnancy, and constipation/diarrhea. You probably have an internal hemorrhoid and when you went to do #2 my guess is that you irritated it and caused it to bleed. Another cause of bright red bleeding is colon cancer which I doubt you have.
If it contineus, go see a doctor. Young people can get colon cancer, but it is very rare to see it at your age.

Well, I'm going to be extremely and grossly detailed here for the sake of you folks understanding something here.
I've been very busy lately, working a lot, school all year round, etc. I haven't had much time at all to get on the bike like I used to do. It's been months. I got on today and just went crazy with it, to the point where I started feeling dizzy in my head. I was soaked in sweat and brought nothing to drink with me, however I didn't go far from home, I was just doing laps around the block at a fast pace. So with the fact that I went on a killer bike ride today and this is the first day something like this happened, I'd think they'd have to be linked.
Secondly, this isn't the first time that I've seen any red stuff in the bathroom. This is the kinda "ehh" part. There's been a couple times, I'm sure some others here have been in this situation, where when you do a number two, the "size" of the excretory material is a considerably larger size than normal. So... upon exit of the body, it really makes you hold your breath for a second and give a nice heave to get it out of your system. After something like that, then I may notice a little bit of red stuff on the tissue. However, it wasn't ANYTHING like what I saw today. Today I saw red stuff in the damn toilet, which I've never seen. And it soaked through a small handful of tissue pretty easily. The second handful of tissue I grabbed was a bit better, though. That's when I realized it wasn't "bleeding," as if it was continuous. It was just a once and done thing.

Hi, Sometimes a hard stool can cause the bowel wall to bleed a little, but as a caution if there is blood in the stool or mucus then you really should see the doctor,it may off course be nothing but the hard stool ,but it can also be in need of inspection. Keep a check, never ignore these little indications of possible problems because often the sooner you get things looked at, the better a cure if indeed a cure is needed. L
