Question Suddenly High WBC!??
Hi, I recently went to the ER because of a sudden illness that came on so quickly. The day before I had a extreme headache, lymph nodes were extremely swollen, and aches and pains and throat pain. My heart was also racing. When I got to the ER I didn't have a fever but my heart rate was 141, and my WBC was 19.9. I was just wondering what could have made my count go so high so quickly. thanks

Didn't they tell you anything at the hospital? Or did they think it was nothing?

High white count is usually a sign of a infection or a viral thing going on. sounds like thats what you had.
