Desperate for help! Huge lump on JUGULAR!!.... - General Health Message Board

Ok, I'm 17 and I'm 5'5. I have really bad acne on my back that never seem's to go away. I wish I could post pictures but last post I did it was removed.

I have lump on the side of my neck (left) pretty big, Red and the tip of it is squishy and behind it seems a little hard. Feels like a small egg in my neck. Redness, hurts if rubbed siletly. Someone said I needed to go to the doctor's and they have to cut it open to get the fluid out I'm not sure if thats right.

I also have this marble sized thing between my eyes, strait in the middle of my eyebrows acutally. It's marble size, and it's very smooth. Redness on it too.

Please can someone tell me what's going on??

Sounds like cystic acne. Give those lumps a few days to see if they'll go away on their own. If not (or if you start having them more frequently), you might want to see if a dermatologist can help you out.

i would at the very least have your doc evaluate that lump that you stated was on your jugular?this 'could' possibly be some sort of obstruction such as a blood clot type thing?any "lump" you see or feel over a blood vessel area espescially if it is red and swollen should just be checked out.it could just be what index mentioned,in both areas,BUT,when it comes to something that appears to be on or in any vein or artery,it just needs evaluating to rule out other more serious issues.does that red/lump area on the neck feel hot at all or hotter than the surrounding area? FB

You might be right about the acne. The lump is still there. It's been there a total of 4 days. It's starting to feel hard behind and around it, but the tip of it it's squishy like pus inside of it. I really really don't wanna go to the doctor's and get it cut open, drain out and have to be on med's for 2 weeks. I can live with the Antibiotics but i don't want them cutting my neck open!!

Personally, I'd give it a few more days.
