Re: hard palate question

ive got a small raised spot to the right of the middle of the roof of my mouth,, i noticed it about 3 weeks ago after some pain in the same area, possibly from a food injury? anyway the pain disapeared within a day however the raised smooth area is still there and completely painless,, anyone got any ideas what this is?

Re: hard palate question

honestly?if this is still an issue,i would actually see your doc about this.thats a pretty long time to have anything still there.most inside the mouth type of injuries or sores will normally heal pretty quickly.i think this has been there just a bit too long and bears a bit more in depth looking into.i don't want to freak you out here or anything but certain types of mouth or oral cancers can present as painless sores in the mouth tissue just about anywhere in the mucosal tissue.if this actually presented itself back in sept?and is still an issue,it really needs some attention to see exactly what it is.either get into your dentist very soon or see your doc very soon, but this does need to be looked at by a medical professional of some sort.most dentists are very knowledgable about different types of possible mouth sores and cancer signs.hopefully this is nothing major, but it does need to be evaluated just because it has been there this long and does not appear to want to go away.please let me know what you find out,K? good luck, FB

Re: hard palate question

To be honest it could have been there longer,, i only noticed it cos i hurt my mouth on a hard chip,(it jabbed my hard palate and went really sore and bruised for a couple of days ) iwas nursing the bruise with my tongue and felt the area was slightly raised,, if i feel it with my finger it feels about 3-4 mm in size only slightly raised, tiny really,
Feels the same as the rest of the mouth and has zero pain, no soreness,, doesn`t bleed,, hasn`t grown in two months,, could this be a torus? i have one on my lower inside gum already, and im a night tooth grinder, which caused this i think,, what would cause one in the roof of the mouth,

Thanks for your reply feelbad hope you feelgood today

anymore info welcomed
