planter's faciatis

I was prescribed ibrufen tablets for this problem, but I an not sure when to take- only when the problem occurs or as preventitive?

To get the right answer, you should ask the doctor who prescribed it.
But... the purpose of the ibuprofen is mainly to eliminate the inflammation that is causing the pain. Taking it in the recommended dosage, on an exact schedule that provides around-the-clock coverage, will eventually eliminate the inflammation completely. If you take it only sporadically... when the pain is its worst or when you think about taking it, for example... the pain may never completely leave. Sporadic dosing will relieve the inflammation a little, but not eliminate it; when a little inflammation is allowed to remain, it "feeds on itself" and will eventually gain momentum to return at an even greater level. Keeping the inflammation entirely in check with regular dosing will eventually eliminate it completely.
