bad cold? - General Health Message Board

Late August i had the stomach flu. I think i got it from my daughter. Anyway...durring that time i fealt achy, and run down. Well...now..here it is only a month later and i have a bad couph and alot of sinus pressure. I went to the Dr and he gave me antibiotics. This was on thursday after noon. I still feal yucky, sort of achy, kind of sleepy, shortness of breath. Shouldnt i be fealing better by now? My husband says he feals the same and it is just our bodies fighting off an illness..but i am the worrying type..and always think it is something more. At what point should i see my dr. again?

hi,

im the same as you. I have had a stomach bug for 3 days now and am thinking it really should be better by now and that something else must be wrong.

The running to the toilet every 10 mins has stopped now, but i feel so tired and weak, and i ache all over. Is this usal for a tummy bug?

i think so..when i had the stomach bug last month it lasted for about a week. i was week, achy and tired too.

wow, I'm going through the same thing!! Started with a stomach virus in early September that lasted about a week.. then less than a week later I felt like I was getting ill again but started with a cough. I've had the cough for 4 weeks now. I've seen my doctor and he gave me antibiotics to make sure it wasn't turning into a lung infection, but that did no good. I'm using an inhaler to help with the chest pressure, and taking decongestants. Cough syrup is not really working anymore. I'm probably going to call the doc back either today or tomorrow. Not running a fever or anything, just coughing!
