Flu Shot Reaction - General Health Message Board

This was posted on the Cold and Flu Board but we didn't get much response.

Has anyone had the 2007 Flu Vacination and had a reaction?

I did and still feel bad two weeks after the shot. My arm hurt for several days to the point that I could not lift it. In addition, I developed a lymph node behind my ear that really hurt.

I also feel achy and tired.

I was just wondering if others have experienced a reaction.

usually after a flu jab people feel a little like they have a lower immune system. It's because what they put in you is a strain of flu to make your body recognise it and immediately fight it and form antibodies. So its not surprising you feel a little sick. Although its quite a long time for your symptoms, but then if you think flu can last over a week, so this is probably what you have. If it carries on i would go get checked out by your doctor. Thank you. I am feeling a little better. I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and it has been rainy and cloudy here so maybe that is contributing to the feeling.

Have you got a SAD light, its the artificial light to have on for half hour a day.

Its for SAD sufferers my Hubby has one he suffers also, and it does work, but you must use it every day the sun isnt out. Well worth the £90.

Yes, I have the light. Last year we had a lot of sunny days and I did not use it much.

However, I think that I may have to pull it out because my lethargy is starting already. It ususally hits around January but I feel it now. Yuck!

Has your husband started to use his, yet?
