I do this all the time! I get so mad at myself for doing it, but sometimes, I just really can't help it. I notice it happens the most when I'm really bored, or I'm incredibly stressed.
I don't really think its a "psycological disorder". I think its more of a habit kind of thing, that can be incredibly hard to break. Mostly because you don't realize you're even doing it. Try chewing on gum, or sucking on some candy when it seems like you are doing it a lot. I don't know how well it will help you stop, but it will give your lips time to heal.
