chicken pox

I am wondering if having had facial herpes (with flu symptoms), a few years ago this means I have had chicken pox (albeit without being aware). My records show I haven't had chicken pox but I am wondering about the link with facial herpes (herpes virus type 1)...

Re: chicken pox

different strains of viruses (although it's in the herpes family). It would be rare for the chicken pox virus to stay local to the facial area. Were your sores "sore" or very itchy?
