Hey everyone! Im 23 and love lifting weights at the gym. However, when I was lifting some heavy dumbells for my shoulder press, I noticed a small lump under my arm pit (about 2 mo ago). I tried putting it out of my head, but I noticed it hasnt gone away. It's painless and still the same size. I only see it when I do a shoulder press machine or something.
If I simply lift my arms up, I cant see it. If I try to palpate it, I cant find it.
I workout, mainly aerobic & had an armpit lump & had it checked & it turned out to be a sebaceous sweat gland, symptomatic of people who perspire & (as i'm male) have hair there.
I also knew a hairdresser that used her right arm regularly for blowdrying & she ruptured a muscle that looked like a hernia & as you do weights, this could have happened!
As is said, check it out with your doc & all the best
