I have a vein on my upper thigh that appears and feels indented when lying down or sitting, it looks like a big blue crack in my leg. When standing the vein sticks out. What might that be?
Veins get flatter when not as much blood is flowing through them, and lying down slightly decreases circulation to your legs. That's probably why it's sometimes flat and sometimes fat. If you are very thin, and the vein is very close to the skin, sometimes this can cause a small indentation.
My fiancee the fat-free has this with the veins in his arms.
