Pain in leg, please help!

Hello, I have been having pain in my thigh/knee area for a day now. I have been reading about DVT and am very worried. Am I just being paranoid?

Re: Pain in leg, please help!

Are you at particular risk for DVT occuring? Are you immobilized, have you recently had a serious injury/surgery to that leg, or do you have a blood condition that makes you clot more easily? If so, you may want to talk to your doctor, especially if there is a lot of swelling in that leg.

Otherwise, there are a lot of reasons your leg could hurt, including muscle soreness. Why do you think it is DVT?

No to all of those. There is no swelling, either. I think it's DVT because I'm paranoid, probably.

Re: Pain in leg, please help!

How old are you? Are you physically active? Have you done something recently that would have caused you to have an unusual pain? Did you slip and fall? Have you tried taking a tylenol? If that helps take the pain away I don't think you have a very serious issue....

I'm 18. I don't work out or anything, but I do walk a lot around college. No, I haven't fallen or anything.

Re: Pain in leg, please help!

besides what was mentioned the only ohter reason to get would be if you were sitting for really long time like on long overseas flights or if you were sitting playing computer games for 15 hours straight without moving.

Since that isn't the case. you are beign paranoid. Take some advil.
