 numbness in hands and arms
I am very scared right now. Hopefully, I am just over reacting! I was involved in a car accident several months ago. I broke my ankle and hand. I had surgery on my ankle and am still recovering from that. I have been in physical therapy for a couple of months now. Several weeks after the accident I started having back and neck pain. I also started losing feeling in my hands and my arms. My doctor had my PT treat my back problems and wanted to wait a little while to see if the neck problems and numbness got better as I weened off my crutches. It has progressively gotten worse. Today he ordered for me to have nerve testing done. What exactly is involved with this test? If I do have some nerve damage what does that mean? Any information regarding this will be very much appreciated. Thank you!
