sick of being sick
I really don't know where to start, but here goes. All I ask is for someone out there to listen, because none of my doctors are. Please, please listen to my story. I'll try to keep it as short as possible.
I was a happy college student. I really don't know what happened. First of all in Jan., I got rear-ended by a drunk driver (who was going 90 mph) and rolled my vehicle 3 times. I hit my head, but walked away. Then about a month later I started having extreme nausea. By the beginning of March I was too sick to do anything. I was in the hospital about half of March - the dr.'s found nothing (after lots of testing) except that my stomach did not empty as fast as it should. I thought things were horrible then, but I was wrong. Things have gotten worse.
I have how been to my different specialists, and had many different tests done. As of right now here are my symptoms, nausea (my stomach doesn't empty as fast as it should), I am dizzy (like the room is spinning or like I'm on a boat), bad headaches, facial swelling, numbness like a loss of sensation and circulation in hands and feet (sometimes even my legs), fatigue, chest pain (I have heart palpatations, but was told that is was nothing serious), breathing difficulties (which I'm going to see a specialist for in a couple of weeks). It seems like every med a dr. trys to give my a get a bad side effect from. I also get confused sometimes. I am a little depressed and anxious, but I have been told that this is not why I feel this way. (But who wouldn't be if they were passing things up that they loved for eight months now!) I have been trying to stay active and socialize, but it's very difficult.
The doctors are all out of ideas. Where do I go from here? I was wondering if this, or at least some of it, could be related to taking birth control pills? I could really use some advise!! I think that's all. Thanks for listening!
