Ringing in ears after concert.

Last night I went to a concert, which was held in a relatively small place. It was very loud and my ears are still ringing from it. How long will the ringing last? Its not as bad as it was after I went to bed last night but still noticeable.

Re: Ringing in ears after concert.

depends.. I've had it go away in as little as 12 hours, but then I've gone to concerts where it's lasted over 2 days. I love concerts, but that's definitely the one downside! Especially when it's a small venue.

Re: Ringing in ears after concert.

I went to a concert several years ago in a small venue. I pretty much sat on the edge of a stage in front of a few stacks of Marshall amps. With that said, I had horrible ringing in my ear for 3 days. It was painful on top of it. In all it took about 2 weeks to get my hearing back to normal.

I have been to hundreds, possible a thousand or so concerts. At 32 I have about a 40% hearing loss. If you are an avid concert goer PLEASE wear earplugs. Yeah, they look stupid, but it beats having to get a hearing aid before you are 50.
