Post Heat Stroke? - LONG - Sorry!

Hi,
I don't know what happened to me yesterday, so I'm hoping to get some ideas from the knowledgeable folks here.
I was at a concert and the venue was very hot (weather has been unsesonably hot) I've been there many times and haven't had much of a problem with the heat, if I feel a little stuffed I just step out and drink some water. Well, last night I began to feel hot, but I ran out of water and was waiting for the encore to run out and get some more. It got to the point where I felt like my whole body was aflame! I stood there for a while and the sweating turned to a cold sweat and I couldn't breathe. I started for the hallway and by now my whole body felt like it was trembling. I went to the restroom to drench my face, neck, arms and drink some water (I had stood at the bar waiting for water, but felt like I was slipping away, so had to settle for tap) when I looked at myself in the mirror I was a pale-clammy-green color(EEK!) I did not recover even after drinkin all that water (about a liter!) I attempted to go back in twice but the minute I saw the lights and felt the heat, everything would start spinning, plus my legs were trembling and ready to give out on me at any moment.
What happened? Is this a classic case of Heat Stroke? Should I be worried and go see my dr? I woke up with a massive migraine and my whole body feels weak, as if I'd ran a marathon or gotten run over by a steam-roller.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated...

Sounds like you had some nasty triggers that brought on a migraine. It could well be partial heat stroke but I doubt that was the total cause since you were at a concert and not overexerting yourself so to speak. You may want to update your doc to see if he recommends anything specific as far as possibly checking you out. With heat stroke you need to remember that water alone will not be enough. When you suffer heat stroke you electrolyte imbalance is out of wack so you need something more like gatorade or pedialyte etc. Most of this sounds like the lights and music together were a trigger for a nasty migraine but hopefully others will have some thoughts on your post.

Thanks for your reply!
Actually I do suffer from migraines constantly (from an very early age), and I do get some nasty "warnings" at times, but nothing like this.
I've never felt like that before, it was quite scary. Maybe I was just fatigued, I don't know. It was a rock concert so we were standing for a long time, but I've been there a ton of times and it can get pretty stuffy, and a walk towards the door usually helps..
Thanks again. I hope to get as much insight as possible so keep those replies coming!

The more I read your post the more I think of several things. You mentioned it getting pretty stuffy. That reminds me of being in a hospital for school with several other nursing students. We were going to watch a proceedure on a patient and due to all of being in one tiny room there were several of us who had to step out as we started getting the feeling of passing out just due to so many of us in a small crowded room. I am wondering if this isn't similar to what happened to you and the lights and sounds were also part of a trigger for a migraine that followed this. You feel real light headed and your legs get real weak and rubbery etc. If this is the case there is not much you can do except to get some fresh air and grab a bit to eat and drink and wait until you feel better before going back in to the concert. Since the lights and noise seem to be a migraine trigger though why not consider taking some of your migraine medicine the next time this happens and see if this at least prevents the migraine that followed all of this.
