| Re: apendicitis
It can burst in that time frame if it's really bad, and depending on the level of inflamation and infection however, it can also take a long time (as in my case) because it wasn't acute to begin with and just got progressivley worse.
In answer to your other questions-yes it hurt to sit, bend, walk and if I attempted to run and I mean like a slight jog to the car The pain was intense and traveled around to my back. It also hurt to wear anything around my waist especially pantyhose (though you probobly don't wear those being your a guy, but hey if you do it will hurt) also belts, anything tight.
The pain moved all over the place- mid stomache, right side, even left side, my back, down toward the groin area, Really all over by the time someone actually decided hey, lets just press on her appendix and see what happens!
I was sent immediatley from the office to the emergency room and had to have emergency surgery. I was told I was extremely lucky that it hadn't burst yet. At that time(20 years ago) I was told that it was hard for them to see just how bad the inflammation was until they operated. Also in case anyone tells you that a high fever is necessary-it is not. I didn't have one. I did have fevers that came and went but never real high.
