| Re: 13 year old son Depression? I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my mom and my dad within five weeks of each other this past month so I know how tough it can be to handle the grief.
I think your son is grieving for his grandmother. He must have been close to her, and now he is worried that he is going to die the same way that she did. If I were you, I would find a support group for him that has teenagers in it so he won't feel so out of place and let him go for awhile.
If you search the internet you can find the 7 stages of grieving..it will give you a pretty good feel for what to expect. I am suffering as an adult so I know that it had got to be even harder for him. I would get him some counseling to help him over the rough patch. Maybe your doctor can rreccomend a good adolescent couselor or your church can.
good luck, and he is in my prayers....
