I was looking in the mirror and noticed my tongue looked weird. It was like it had a white film on it and it was all peeling. Does that mean anything, or was it maybe something I ate.

Your tongue can reflect what you have eaten, but sometimes a white coating is an indication of yeast.

It sounds like it may be thrush. You can get it from taking a lot of meds.

It is called a geographic tongue somewhere there is a post to one of these many forums recent something about being b-12 anemic and getting a shot of b-12 and taking b-complex vitamins to cure that particular type of anemia thus curing the geog.tongue. do a search within healthboards " what causes geographic toungue or maps - and yes sometimes it is related to overproduction of yeast in the body had you taken antibiotics recently eat yogurt w/acidopholus a natural probiotic that is usually killed off with antibiotics - read the yogurt label for it. I am new to the board, so just putting my 2 cents in, I get that film on my tongue, but I also getting a burning sensation with it. Talked to my dentist about this and he said to brush my tongue very lightly and use mouthwash, does help me. He did not say what causes it.
