Post pressure under rib cage

I have been getting this sensation in under the left rib cage going up in under the breast, it comes and goes for over a week, sometime like mild tightness other times akmost numbing. Do have Fm and also IBS. I suffer from anxiety and naturally think the worse like is it my heart, although I have never heard of anyone having heart pain there. is annoying not pain. by the way I am new and my first post.
I do have mitral regurgatation, no high b/p and pulse is fine, any suggestions.

Hypervigilance...that's all it is. You can go get it checked, but with the fact that you have fibromyalgia and also IBS, I'm pretty sure they'll find nothing.

I used to have strange chest pains too, that would start near the center of the chest and migrate towards the chin. Mine would start all of a sudden and last about a half hour or longer. It was so awful, that I didn't know what was going to happen.

Eventually, I linked all of this, including my fibromyalgia symptoms to my mercury-silver dental amalgams. Before I had the amalgams replaced with less toxic white fillings, I could control it two ways. First, I found calcium pills seemed to help - just one is all I needed. Secondly, if I took deep breaths and expanded my chest cage to the extreme, stretching the muscles, that would help relieve it too.

I'm cured of all of this now. I write about it, as you might know, quite a bit. Your pains sound different than mine, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

cool, I've had that strange pressure in that exact place too. I am a 20yr old male; well one day I felt this unusual pressure right underneath my left rib cage, and it also triggered my anxiety disorder. what a coincidence huh? I felt it the worst when I sat down. I didn't feel it too much when I laid down. I got so worried about it even though I had all these tests done that found nothing. It's pretty much now gone away after several months. I think it could be a strained muscle from your back or stomach. And like the other person said, hypervigilance is also a possibility. Just try not to think about it. you will be ok

I have the same thing. Mine comes and goes throughout the day. It's not a constant pain which is good. My doctor gave me Nexium, for gerd. Could be a hernia, but I never got it checked out.

i dont know if it would be a hernia. hernias usually bulge out. the pressure under my rib cage went away eventually but every now and then it presents itself but not often. i used to always touch that muscle right underneath my rib. but after a while i started getting much pain in my left leg and the cause is unknown right now. i would hope it's not a hernia cause if it is, im sure it's messed up inside of my leg cause this has been going on for a year. right now me and my doctor think it's back related since my back curves to the left. i will find out soon when i see the back specialist.
