Post Help I am at my wits end!!

I really don't even know where to start so I hope you can bear with me. 4 Yrs ago I was bitten by a spider, a Brown Recluse is what my Dr id'd him as. Anyway I was given antibiotics and then about a mos later my throat started bothering me, and I was prescribed more antibiotics... they didn't work, and a different brand was given to me. I then developed thrush, and went on Diflucan and Mycelex. After all this my life has never been the same. I developed Geographic tongue, which over the yrs because I take B-6 everyday doesn't bother me as much. BUT the one thing that I still suffer from is this white sticky substance in my throat. It drives me crazy. Over the years I have used Nystatin, went to a Hollistic Dr where I drank shakes... an ENT. my GP, and still I am suffering with this. I know or at least I think it is Candidia an overgrowth of yeast. It isn't mucous but a thick white substance, that on some days I have to keep swallowing and still it feels like it is clogging up my throat. I don't spit out regular spit is is always this gross stuff and sometimes I have to spit alot. About 6 weeks ago I started taking something called Threelac a Candida defense. It says that it can take 3 mos to eat up the yeast. Some days it seems to feel better and my saliva is somewhat normal...but mostly my saliva is slimy and not the way it should be. I Have never suffered from allergies and have always been very healthy.
I don't even like to kiss anymore because of this. I am at my wits end, and don't know what to try anymore. I have also tried silver, nose sprays that are supposed to thin out mucus... and Robotussin that is also supposed to thin out mucous. BUT I really don't think this is mucous, but yeast and I don't know what else to try.
Please... is there someone out there that give me some ideas about what else to try!!
Thanks !!
Carol
PS I did go on a candidia diet for awhile when this first began 4 yrs ago.. but I don't eat veggies and that diet isn't one that I could follow so I Need some other kind of help.

Did the docs do a culture of this mucous? If not get a specimen cup from the docs office and give them a good specimen and get the mucous cultured. That will tell you just what is in the mucous and if nothing is found the report will say something like normal mouth flora or something along those lines. If it is yeast it will grow candidia bacteria in the lab or if it is something else then the culture will show just what bacteria you do have so they can prescribe the proper medicatin if needed.

Thanks so much for letting me know that they can even do that... I am surprised that no DR ever even suggested that. Sometimes that stuff whatever it is, even has a speck of blue in it, ... and I had thought about bringing that in when that blue shows up.

First of all, it sounds as if all the antibiotics have cleared out the good gut flora and you really need to replace this by taking some Acidophilis capsules twice daily.

Next, I am going to suggest that you might benefit from going back to your Naturopathic doctor and asking for some homeopathic treatment. The thing is that I think you are going to have to go back to the causation to solve this problem.

I think the causation is initially from the spider, but then most definitely a concept called 'Never well since' antibiotics. In homeopathy, it is possible to potentise any kind of substance and a homeopath may potentise the spider venom and this may help you, or as the antibiotics may have caused this problem, the antibiotics can be potentised and given back to you in potency and this may then help too. This should also be done in conjunction with your homeopathic consitutional remedy. This can be given afterwards or concurrently.

This is not as crazy as it seems and I did this for a friend of mine recently and it worked very well. He had bronchitis that was verging on pneumonia, so went his doc who of course, gave him antibiotics. At that point, I worked out the correct homeopathic remedy and told him to take it three times daily until the tablets were finished and he did seem to be improving. However, he had taken an antibiotic called Ceporex and said that he felt very unwell after taking this and did not seem to be getting any better, so I gave it back to him in potency and within one day of taking it he had vomited and coughed up a load of phlegm. He then started the road to full recovery after this and was well within a week and has had no further problems.

You have nothing to lose by trying this and I think that this approach could very well work.

One thing is for sure, that you don't need any more antibiotics, so I would suggest finding another good ND or a classical homeopath who can help you.

To cure this you need to go back to the original cause of the problem and get rid of that rather than just treating the symptoms that you are left with. That way you will never get rid of your problem.

Thanks so much for your advice... I am seeing my internal medicine Dr tomorrow, and I will read her what you said. As for antibiotics... if I can avoid it I will never take them again.. it has been 4 yrs since I last took them... and I was told if I ever had to take them again that I should take Diflucan at the same time. BUT I still need to get rid of the problem that I was left with, and I hope my DR can give me name of someone can help me.
