It's too late for you now with what I'm about to tell you, but I found a way to get rid of the bumps years ago. The mosquito injects a chemical in your body to stop the blood from clotting. That is what causes the bump and the itching.
What I did was scratch it some to open up the bite a little wider. Within about a half hour of the bite (the sooner the better), I put on some baking soda and table salt paste. Adding corn starch might help some too. The salt draws out the poison, and the bump goes completely away. It was just an experiment I conducted - not something I read in a book. But the trick, was to treat yourself rather quickly after getting bit. That was years ago - now I'm quick at swatting them before they get a chance, or I go outside covered up. I hate mosquitos!!!
Has anyone else treated mosquito bites this way or a similar way to get rid of the bumps?
