Post Noise and swelling in Knee

Last saturday I played 3 games of baseball. After the second game I developed some mild pain in my knee and I chose to ignore it and finish the tournament.

After the third game, my knee started to make a popping or clicking noise and became slightly swollen.

Since nothing unusal happened during the games, I didn't pull or twist the knee at all, I decided to just rest it and hope it gets better. Its been this way all week. I've done my best to rest it but not much has changed.

There is not really any pain, but when flexing my knee past about a 70 degree angle it makes a popping noise and it feels like something is moving inside the joint. The noise is much louder when there is weight on the knee, such as when climbing stairs.

Does anyone know what this might be?

hi i cannot see your question on here, but i have had a problem with my knee before, the best bet is to use ice and elevate and find some ib profem, go to the doctor if that doesn't work

Since you are having some discomfort as well as a popping/clicking noise that you didn't have before you need to get this checked out. You also should not have ignored your discomfort when you first injured the knee as you may have done more damage to it but continuing to play ball with the injury. This is exactly how my hubby reinjured his knee after having it surgically repaired a first time. Needless to say after the second orthoscopic surgery to repair it he said no more aggressive sports.
