Heavy Stomach Feeling

Every now and then I get this upset feeling, or heavy stomach feeling, usu after I ate foods rich in what I would call as "secondary oils.'

I bought this olive spread that I like, and though it claims to be made with olive oil, I really seem to doubt it. I really like it though, and I did go a little overboard with that, whiich something I seldomly do with any food generally.

When I feel that upset feeling, I drink a little ginger ale or coke and it goes away. It doesn't bring about nausea or anything else. I just dont feel like eating anything for a few hours.

My question is, does this feeling do damage to your stomach - permanently? I mean over Time, can it cause damage?

Re: Heavy Stomach Feeling

Does eating something that causes mild stomach upset cause damage over the long term? Not necessarily. It might be that you're eating foods that just aren't good for you overall, but upsetting your stomach with a little too much oil isn't going to do your stomach serious harm.
