Question Feels like kicking in stomach????

Hello,
I need some help as to what this may be....
I have been having weird movements in my stomach, I say movements because it honestly feels like small baby kicks, I know you men out there don't know what a baby kick feels like and I can't really explain it either. I had a baby December of 2006 so I know what it feels like.....however I am NOT pregnant right now unless the 4 pregnancy tests and the 3 periods that i've had are decieving me
Could an ectopic pregnancy be detected on a test?????

On another note, it does not feel like gas. I know what a fart feels like let's just put it that way.
It's not painful although it doesn't feel good either...it's kind of an awkward feeling.
For a while I was scared it was a parasite/worm but i've been told that if it was a worm I wouldn't be able to feel it.
What could it be? What in the world could be going on? Anybody have any clue?????
Thank you in advance.
Tara

Re: Feels like kicking in stomach????

Tara...welcome to the boards!! I, too, have had that weird kicking feeling...especially during the first year or so after I had a baby. I have learned that it can be quick muscle spasms, and although they are annoying, they aren't harmful. I'm thinking it has something to do with all the stretching of our bellies/pelvis/muscles/ligaments/etc...going back into place and beginning to function again normally. I'm thinking it will eventually go away...mine did.

Oh, and about the ectopic pregnancy thing...I think the HCG level would show positive on a pregnancy test.

spasms, actually probably contraction like spasms. I had two kids and I do remember that feeling. If it really bothers you, you can call you ob/gyn and ask his opinion on this. It cant hurt to call.

Re: Feels like kicking in stomach????

Hi, I had this. I found out with my doc that my stomach was spasming from stress/anxiety.
