Should I buy a kitten who has ringworm. The breeder just called me and told me the kitten I put a deposit on has ringworm. I am not sure if I should go through with the purchase. She told me after she cashed the check and new before hand the kitten had it.

I'm not sure if people can get ringworm from an animal.
Ringworm can be cured with proper medication and taking EXTRA to not re-use washrags, towels, any clothing or razors or anything that touches the rash spots.
One thing is to call your vet. and explain about the animal and see if any medications can be given to the animal that will help alleviate you or your family from catching ringworm....and ask the vet if indeed you can catch it.

When we got two kittens a while ago, they had ringworm. Ringworm is not really worms, but it is a fungul infection. We had to keep them in one room while treating it. I believe it is possible to get it, but this can be prevented by washing your hands well and frequently. As Pat007 said, make sure not to re-use anything that has touched the rash.
When my kittens had it, I still pet and played with them but washed my hands well right after. It took a little time, but they got through it and have been fine.
I know from personal experience that you CAN get ringworm from animals! I think you should talk to your vet before you go through with the purchase of the cat. I have doubts about a breeder who would sell kittens with ringworm in the first place. Yes, it can be cured, but it can be a long process. Check with a vet first. Good luck!

A breeder should take care of the ringworm before she hands the cat over to you. It is not a big deal if the cat has ringworm, it can be taken care of with meds. Many cats get ringworm as kittens, it isn't a big deal. It can take a few weeks for the meds to kick in and knock the ringworm out of the kitten.
