Hello,

I've been having some wrist pain for quite some time now. It started after I worked out a little too heavily (at least, that's what I think the reason for it occurring is). Anyway, it started out minor... when I stretched my left arm out fully, a sharp pain went through my wrist. It felt as though my nerves were jumbled inside my wrist. After about a week, my wrist became inflamed and there seemed to be a very large vein going through my arm. I still felt pain when I stretched my arm or lifted something heavy, and I felt a minor tingling for quite some time when it wasn't even stretched (I had a lot of trouble sleeping with it like that). I went to the doctor and she didn't really know what I had, so she gave me Motrin 800 mg. I took it for a few days but I had a little trouble breathing with it so I stopped. Anyway, my arm calmed down for a week or two, but now I feel a burning sensation in my wrist every now and then, just starting tonight. Also, the large vein or whatever it is (a bump in my arm) has returned.

The pain seems to be centered under my thumb (if I place my hand palm down, it's on the right side, where my thumb connects). I probably didn't type all this out properly but any help would be greatly appreciated... I don't know if it is a pulled muscle (would it really last that long, though?), tendonitis, carpal tunnel, etc... but my wrist is irritated and the burning only started tonight about an hour ago.
